The Seattle Orcas have unveiled their entire squad for the 2025 MLC campaign. With a mix of experienced internationals and emerging domestic talent, the team is eyeing a strong title push.

Batters

The Orcas have assembled a formidable batting lineup featuring a few power-hitters. Making his debut for the franchise, Australian veteran David Warner brings over 13,000 runs as a left-handed opener. Joining him is Shimron Hetmyer, the dynamic West Indian middle-order batter with 5,144 runs in 270 T20 appearances. U.S. national team star Aaron Jones, a right-handed batter, has notched up 985 runs in 67 T20s, while Steven Taylor, another U.S. international, adds top-order firepower with 1,688 runs in 78 T20 matches.

All-Rounders

The Orcas boast impressive bench depth with six versatile all-rounders. Sikandar Raza, a batting all-rounder from Zimbabwe, brings a wealth of experience with 6,011 runs and 180 wickets in 292 T20 games. U.S. bowling all-rounder Harmeet Singh has contributed 354 runs and 46 wickets in 48 matches and is a canny spinner, with hitting prowess down the order. Kyle Mayers, the explosive West Indian, adds 3,680 runs and 59 wickets across 184 matches and can open both the batting and bowling. Afghan all-rounder Gulbadin Naib has compiled 2,284 runs and taken 89 wickets in 155 games and has a knack of making vital contributions. Ali Sheikh and Sujit Nayak, both handy all-rounders, round out the group with valuable domestic experience.

Wicket-Keepers

Three wicket-keepers provide depth and options behind the stumps. South African star Heinrich Klaasen leads the group with 5,634 runs in 247 T20 matches and is considered one of the most dangerous T20 players in the world. He is joined by U.S. internationals Rahul Jariwala and Shayan Jahangir, the latter having scored 409 runs in 24 T20s.

Bowlers

Seattle's bowling unit looks particularly strong with a mix of pace and spin. Fazalhaq Farooqi, a left-arm pacer from Afghanistan, headlines the attack with 154 wickets in 120 T20 matches and delivers both at the start and the end. West Indian left-arm quick Obed McCoy adds firepower with 177 wickets in 143 games and has a clever mix of variations. The seam attack is further bolstered by Cameron Gannon (45 wickets in 38 matches), Jasdeep Singh (40 wickets in 35 matches), and promising left-armer Ayan Desai (7 wickets in 5 matches). Spin options are led by Afghan left-arm spinner Waqar Salamkheil, who has claimed 92 wickets in as many games and can be quite handy for the batters to decode.

With a strong mix of international stars and rising American talent, the Seattle Orcas look poised to make a deep run in MLC Season 3. The blend of explosive batting, balanced all-rounders, and a potent bowling attack could make them one of the most formidable squads in the league.
